DEPOSIT
To secure your wedding or event date, a non-refundable deposit is required upon confirmation of your booking, payable via bank transfer.
The deposit will be deducted from your final flower and styling invoice.
If you need to rearrange your date, the deposit may be transferred to a new date subject to availability. If Darling Buds of KJ is unavailable, the deposit will remain non-refundable.
Deposit amounts are as follows:
- For events with an initial overall total of up to £2,500, a £500 deposit is required.
- For events with an initial overall total above £2,500, a 25% deposit of the quoted total is required.
Quotation & Payment
All quotations are valid for 14 days from the date issued.
Your quotation is a guide price based on flower availability and market costs at the time of quoting. Darling Buds of KJ reserves the right to adjust prices to reflect seasonal availability and market fluctuations at the time of ordering.
Once the quotation has been accepted and the deposit paid, the total quoted value may not be reduced by more than 20%.
The final balance must be paid in full no later than 30 days prior to the event date. Payment is accepted via BACS transfer only.
If final payment is not received by the due date, Darling Buds of KJ reserve the right to terminate this agreement without further notice.
Flower availability
Fresh flowers are a natural product and variations in size, colour, and shape are to be expected.
Occasionally, specific flower varieties may become unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, Darling Buds of KJ reserve the right to substitute flowers with suitable alternatives of a similar style and value, while maintaining the overall aesthetic of your design.
All flowers are subject to seasonal and supplier availability.
Cancellations
All cancellations must be made in writing.
Once your date has been confirmed, we may have declined other bookings for that date. The following cancellation charges therefore apply:
- More than 6 months prior to the event date: £200 cancellation fee
- 3–6 months prior: 50% of the total quoted value
- 1–3 months prior: 75% of the total quoted value (less deposit already paid)
- Less than 1 month prior: 100% of the total quoted value
Once the final balance has been paid, all payments are non-refundable.
Unforeseen Cancellation by Darling Buds of KJ: In the unlikely event that we are unable to fulfil the booking due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (including serious illness, fire, or natural disaster), we will notify you as soon as possible. The booking deposit is non-refundable, as it covers time already spent on consultations, proposals, planning, and administrative work. Any additional payments made will be refunded unless any non-recoverable costs already incurred. Liability is limited to the total amount paid under this agreement.
Hire Items
Clients are responsible for all hired items from delivery until collection.
Any items that are lost, stolen, or damaged — including damage caused by guests or venue staff — will be subject to repair or replacement charges.
All hire items remain the property of Darling Buds of KJ and will be collected the day following the event unless otherwise agreed.
Responsibility
Darling Buds of KJ do not accept responsibility for injuries or damages caused by hired items once they have been set up.
We also accept no responsibility for damage caused by flames, candles, or heat sources once we have left the venue.
All flowers provided by Darling Buds of KJ are for decorative purposes only and must not be consumed. We cannot be held responsible for any illness resulting from the ingestion of flowers.
Delivery & Set Up
Flowers will be delivered to a maximum of three addresses unless otherwise agreed.
An associated delivery and logistics fee applies to each wedding or event. This fee is calculated individually based on factors including delivery location, set-up time, transport, the team required to bring your vision to life, collection, clear-up, and removal of waste.
Clients are responsible for providing accurate delivery details and ensuring venues are open and accessible at the agreed time.
Darling Buds of KJ cannot be held responsible for delays caused by incorrect information, restricted access, or no one being available to receive delivery.
We are happy to provide flowers for the cake, but we do not place them on the cake. This is the responsibility of the cake maker.
Photography & Social Media
Darling Buds of KJ reserve the right to use photographs of floral designs and venue set-ups for marketing and promotional purposes.
Complaints
Any concerns or complaints must be raised within 24 hours of the event, supported by photographic evidence.
Once flowers have been approved or removed from the venue, Darling Buds of KJ cannot accept responsibility for their condition.
